Anne Pressly Murder: Arkansas Democrat Gazette Appeals Sealed Records Order

“The filing Tuesday by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette asks justices to overturn a ruling by Little Rock District Judge Lee Munson keeping jail roster information, visitor logs and other details about Curtis Lavelle Vance from public inspection. Munson issued a ruling Monday saying the release of those details could “irreparably compromise” Vance’s chance at a fair trial. Jess Askew, a lawyer for the statewide newspaper, rejected the claim.” [Link]

Caught a little discussion on CNNHN yesterday about this, and was concerned that it seemed a tailor-made talking point for the Racist Right and their constant harping on the ’scary Black man and pretty white Blonde’ meme. I won’t comment on Vance…I just don’t know enough, but felt I had to comment, since it looked like a ready-made FOX header, on CNN….
