“She was one of 25 winners of $500,000 MacArthur Foundation ‘genius’ grants announced on Tuesday, and for her the money will help rebuild her clinic — for a second time. Benjamin, who gives care regardless of her mostly uninsured patients’ ability to pay, was among the 25 recipients this year of the no-strings-attached $500,000 awards, which are paid over five years by the Chicago-based foundation.” [Link]
