Miley Cyrus is avoiding the media after her Vanity Fair photo scandal. The 15-year-old — who shocked fans by posing semi-topless for the magazine — has pulled out of a weekend media party to promote the “Disney Channel Games,” Walt Disney World spokesman Gary Buchanan said Thursday. She was set to attend the bash, along with other Disney Channel stars. Cyrus did spend some time at Disney World on Thursday. Wearing a sports jersey, rolled-up cutoff jeans and yellow sneakers, she signed autographs for fans and posed with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. [Link]

A friend of Fox tells the National Enquirer, “Megan (Fox) was quite a rebel growing up. She thought she could get away with anything, and definitely had sticky fingers. “She would pocket things like candy and gum from convenience stores, but Megan’s shoplifting days were quickly put to an end when she got busted for heisting a $7 tube of lipgloss from Wal-Mart. “At first, Megan denied it. Even after they told her they caught her on surveillance video, Megan still tried talking her way out of it. Star reports: Katie was recently secluded for three days at Gold Base, the remote, supersecret Scientology compound in Hemet, Calif., where she was put through a demanding schedule. “It included various tests, confession sessions, tons of reading and physically challenging purification processes,” a Scientology insider reveals. “Tom insists that auditing and purification practices are incredibly beneficial to Scientologists at all levels.” [Link]

“Working with the scorpion was scary. It was real,” she tells OK! at the movie’s premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. “We did it about four times. CSI star Gary Dourdan was arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine and ecstasy and prescription drugs in Palm Springs Monday. An officer found the actor, 41, asleep in his car, parked on the wrong site of the street, at 5:12 a.m. The officer described Dourdan as “disoriented and possibly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs,” according to a statement by the Palm Springs Police Department.
