“When Elisabeth Hasselbeck said Kate Gosselin should ‘get the camera off the kids’ and ‘get a job,’ she didn’t mean her job. But desperate times call for desperate hosts, and The View says Gosselin will serve as a fill-in host for Hasselbeck Sept. 14 and 15. ” Link
“Hasselbeck defended her book ‘The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide’ on Wednesday, speaking to the camera briefly just before the first break on the ABC daytime show. Susan Hassett, a self-published author on Cape Cod, alleges in the lawsuit filed in Massachusetts that Hasselbeck lifted content from her book on celiac disease ‘word for word.’ It doesn’t cite specific examples.” Link

“On Saturday’s (September 20th) ‘Election HQ,’ Greg Jarrett teased the upcoming segment with the comment that both Barack Obama and John McCain are each ‘getting a turn on the couch; but one had a rougher ride. Are the ladies of The View seeing things from only one side?’” [Link]
Barack Obama will appear on The View Friday, March 28 for the first time since becoming a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination. Obama’s sit-down comes in the wake of his much-lauded speech on race in America, which he made following an uproar over inflammatory remarks made by his former paster, Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., that he has denounced. “The fact is,” he said in a speech Tuesday, “that the comments that have been made and the issues that have surfaced over the last few weeks reflect the complexities of race in this country that we’ve never really worked through – a part of our Union that we have yet to perfect.” “And if we walk away now,” he continued, “if we simply retreat into our respective corners, we will never be able to come together and solve challenges like health care, or education, or the need to find good jobs for every American.” [Link]
